New set up

So I started cycling my new tank and my drainline into the sump is foaming like crazy. Why is this and what can I do to prevent this not happening?

did you rinse the new filter sock before you put it in? i now rinse all my new filter socks with vinegar a couple times

Are you using that for your whites or darks? lol

DEFINITELY rinse new filter socks. I use bleach (unscented of course).

You got something in your tank from somewhere if its not the filter socks. Could be in the tank when it was cleaned, or the bucket mixing the water.

Yes, run a good amount of carbon in the tank and think about doing some water changes.

Lol, all I did was throttle back my ball valve on the drain line. Wow, I feel stupid. Thanks guys for responding tho.
