I got a starfish from my friend about 2-3 months ago and this thing was running around my tank, all of a sudden I noticed its arm looked a little bit, I have nothing that kill starfish unless it could of been a hermit crab. Today I come home from work and the whole arm is missing and now each arm is missing pieces. So I'm guessing its dead now. My other starfish red fromia is still alve and good. Can anyone just give me a little info, my levels are fine too..

Unless it went into my mp40 but it was found on the opposite side so maybe it could of happened since the linkia was small. It was just weird because it was doing so well and then lost a arm and then dead. It happened overnight

Theres a bunch of possibilities bro,
Starry Blenny Nasty lil fawkers that could have attacked it if it tried to go in it's sleep area/cave/hiding spot whatever.
Foxface- these guys like to pick at stuff also and are NOT reef safe
coral banded also definitely could have attacked it too
