RKL calibration

I had to recalibrate my ITEMP probe i noticed it drifted a little bit as far as accuracy, i have a thermometer in the tank that is reading 80 degrees so i set the controller to 80. my only question is i have always had the set point set to 78.5 is it ok to let the tank temp fall to that level over night? or is that to much of a swing.

I think its a natural effect 1.5 degrees is not drastic

yea my temp always swings that much from night to day but just wanted to make sure before i just let it drop down. i didn't realize my itemp was so off, it was reading 78.7 on the controller but the tank in actuality was 80 degrees. so i wanted to fix it.

you should use an accurate good quality mercury thermometer
