Remote Refugium

looking to add a remote refugium to my tank. what is the best way to plumb it into sump.refugium will be 2.5 feet above sump.looking at a 20 gallon bredder or 29 gaLLON TANK FOR REFUGIUM THIS WILL DUMP INTO MY 40 GALLON BREEDER SUMP.

Does the 29G have to be ready reef sump or a standard 29g?

Drill the fuge near the top, put a bulkhead in and plumb it so it drains into your sump.

Depending on how much flow you have coming from your main tank through the drain you can run all the flow to the fuge or you can T the drain off and run some to the fuge and some to the sump.

Can i drill bottom of refugium tank

Not the best idea. I would drill the side, this way you won't ever have the chance of the entire tank draining into the sump if the return pump fails.
