Hi Guys, I have a couple pieces of bubble algae on the bottom of my tank on the side of a rock. I was wondering if I covered over them with coral putty, would that be fine and contain them. I know its a quick fix and I have to get to the route of the problem. I am just afraid of popping one and spreading the spores throughout my tank. I know emerald crabs eat them, I am just afraid that they would spread the spores by popping them wile eating them?
Thank you for your help

Any ideas guys? I have about three bubbles on the side of a rock. They seem to be in a crevice. I am a little nervous about trying to roll them off (might break and spread)
Do you think the putty would contain them?

The problem I would see with covering them with putty is the pressure you would need to apply the putty to the rock would burst the bubble anyway. If you can get to them with tweezers you can pick them out other wise what the others said try to get the rock out if possible and clean them off.
