Painting inside stand and canopy

What paint do you guys recommend for the inside of the stand and canopy? I want it white so it is nice and bright and of course want it waterproof.

I used Kilz & Rustoleum inside of my canopy, and I am constantly battling mold issues!!

I will be following henrystyles advice on the use of "Deck Paint" next! Ant told me it is great, and he has not had this issue.

Kilz as a primer and latex house paint w mold inhibitor for the stand. Inside the canopy I use kilz w a topcoat of reflective paint or flat white. If using latex paints mold inhibitor works wonders.

so first use kilz, let it dry and than that SW brand that you provided a link to? Cant you use same for the stand?

You can. It's not cheap though. I use it in canopies where its of greatest benefit. If you have a fuge under your stand than it would add to the lights output. Kilz primer first. After it dries I sand lightly and either do a second coat or go to the topcoat. Some woods like knotty pine drink the stuff up and the knots don't always cover w one coat.

Yep but I tend to favor tried and true methods for certain things. Yes it's a little more work but those products are meant to save time. Not saying you can't or shouldn't use it I just personally prefer "Ol' School Lol.
