U can qt your fish prior to puttin into ur dt tank. You can add a uv to ur display tank. But there is no fool proof way to battle ick. You can just take steps to prevent it .

There is no way to kill off the parasite in a reef tank by use of any additive.
The only way is to remove the fish from the tank and treat them with either copper or hyposalinity, and leave the tank devoid for fish for 10 weeks to be sure the ich parasite dies off in the tank.

Save your money and don't buy reef safe medication they just don't work.

BTW, what size tank? How many fish do u have?

+2 Are the fish eating?
If you can keep them eating then they can recover.

Put the fish in a separate tank with the salinity at 1.009 and keep them out the display for 12 weeks
