Power stroke 5000 w generator anyone ?

Is this a good generator ? I got it for nearly $690 incl tax....wonder if I need to return.didn't use it.

Will it start without issues ?

Why wouldn't it start? Just make sure all fluids are to correct levels and if it's a new unit especially it should be fine.

You have to add the oil and put the wheels and rubber stops on. That brand wont run right if not level

I just got a 3500 model. I was desperate and got anything I could get my hands on. It has been running since yesterday with no problems.

Will the 5000w run everything in a townhome ....if I get transfer switch installed by electrician and manually flip it ?
Will it run a natural gas furnace ?

You should be fine with a few things on. With the gas furnace the blower is low wattage so u should be fine with that. I wouldnt run everything jus the bare necessities such as fridge, furnace, tank and a few outlets and lights but you have to be careful on ehat you have on at the same time
