I lost most of my reef and I was thinking about leaving the hobby after I lost my favorite fish, hemi the blue hippo tang but after finally getting gas today and saving what I have left from my home in floral park I'm confident in my continuing of my stay in this hobby. I was without power in Long Island for 5 days, and to my amazement, my purple tang, cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp, clownfish and a small clean up crew survived the worst conditions. Today I was able to move them to my sisters home in queens in a temporary ten gallon set up. I just wanted to say I was offered help by meangreeneyes and I am so thankful for that, I wasn't able to get on MR after speaking to her and I didn't have gas in time and I was concerned about my fish possibly having ich and passing it on to her fish, I just wanted to thank her and MR. It will be a long road back to how I had my tank which was just starting to take off but it all starts with helping my last few survivors make it through. I just wanted to share my story and tell fellow mr members not to give up!

Never give up buddy, we have a lot invested in our tanks, not just money but love for the hobby. when you are on your feet again pm me I can frag some stuff from my tank for you.

Jesus...I'm so sorry for your losses! I wish you would've contacted me anyways. I've been worried/thinking about you/your tank since we spoke and I didn't hear from you. I have a spare 30g and a 10g QT that are separate from my main system. I'm glad that you're sticking around in the hobby...you have my number...call/text me anytime and keep me updated on the progress of your remaining livestock!
