Berlin Turbo Skimmer Problem

Having a bit of trouble skimming. When I first installed it, it was skimming very nicely. But after the first time, it hasn't been working. It's as if the foam doesn't get even close to the rim of the collection cup.

It's been in action for over a month now.

Any ideas?

clean it out a bit... take apart everything and rinse it. adjusting the air intake to the pump will create more bubbles and rise the water level.

You will see a port where the air tube goes into the pump input. Unscrew this with a 7/16 wrench. pour some hot water in there and dig around with a tooth pick. You'll probably pull out a Tic Tac size clump of salt/calcium deposit. You'll be up and running again. You'll need to do this monthly with Berlins if you're injecting lots of air. If you've got time, you may be better off when you perform this maintenance to put the Berlin in a tray of vinigar deep enough to cover the hole. This might give you a little more time between cleanings.
