refugium question

I'm setting a refugium and have gotten different kinds of algae. Is there anything I can get to keep the algae in the refugium. It keeps falling in the bubble trap.

I have a custom acrylic sump, is there anything I can buy that would allow the water to pass by and leave the algae in the refugium?

have you tried eggcrate (light diffuser sold in home depot in the lighting section)

How is your sump set up? I would say that their is too much flow thru the fuge.
