Thoughts on Handling Live Rock post Sandy

Hey Guys,

Finally got power back yesterday. Temps got down to 60 for 5 days but had air stones running at all times. Slowly bringing temperature back up. Took readings this morning. Ammonia at 2.0mg/l (or slightly higher). No nitrate reading.

Is the rock gone? Or can I hope for it to restore itself with help from frequent large water changes?

Keep the rock, do a large water change now.

Keep doing weekly water changes until things return to normal. It's going to be like cycling your tank all over again
