Here is where the MR muscle meets the Money Muscle!!!!

Now that the goal has been reached and we were successful in fully covering the expense of the 240g tank and plumbing at the Writing Center for PrattReef, it is time to start keeping track of who wants to help out with the move, the transfer of livestock, the plumbing, electric, setting up, making sure the livestock lives etc.

Below is a list that I will update from the posts on this thread. If you noted your willingness to help on the Philantropic Thread, please restate it here so we can better track who is doing what/where.

In closing, if you missed the Philantropic Thread, you can view it here to catch onto the excitement of putting the MR Money Muscle to work.

Muscle Tracker:

I will leave it up to PrattReef to outline what additions he would like to see made to this first thread. Review it often as you may want to participate in a few of the above.

Keep it up MR - the best damn reef club . . . period!

I talked to Randy today. On July 9 we're just getting the tank (and the iron stand) and dropping them off. (then have a few beers!)

The move over will be later in the summer. But we'll still need MR to step up and rock it out.

All, As Jim indicated, this is a two part maneuver. On Sunday July 9th, the tank ( and BC's too) will be delivered to White Plains. Brett will be renting a Uhaul from Brooklyn accompanied by 1 or 2 of my assistants from Pratt and meeting me in White Plains ( I'm out of town prior and will be coming from the North) probably around noon. Glass Cages claims they will load the tank into the truck, so theoretically we don't need much help for this part. The real need is when we return to Brooklyn and have to unload the tanks. This will require 6-8 really strong guys to unload and carry the tank into the Writing Center. I was never a really strong guy to begin with:), but after totally busting up my shoulder a few years ago I can't even consider helping with this part. Brett's tank will be a piece of cake after this part is done. Food and beer to follow. That is really all that is happening on the 9th.

The big change over will be scheduled for sometime later in July or perhaps mid -August and will involve breaking down the old system and setting up the new one all in 1 day....and this will be more of a community affair as Jim has begun to outline.

Jim,

Tristan (my former assistant at Pratt, former Atlantis Marine World employee and current House of Fins installation guru) will handle the primary plumbing duties.

I expect Frank (Fry) and Brett will handle electrical.

The MR dream team is beginning to take shape:)

Me and Mike (slamajama) moved Dave's 210, we can hack a 240. I'm in for,
1: Moving
2: Plumbing
3: any acrylic work needed
4: as a last resort, I can help with electric, but I would consider keeping me far away from such a task.

fyi, there are only 2 guys on glass cages truck, for big tanks they recruit people waiting. so it's a good idea to have a few people to help them.
