Tunzi ATO users ?

I have my ATO set up on my apex and I have it set to OFF during my feed/maintenance cycle so it don't put water in when I'm doing a water change from my sump.

My question is, every time it powers back on it dumps exactly two cups of water into the system even if the water level is good?

Mike i cant figure it out either. I just put my finger and close the tube until the pump stops an then its fine. Maybe we should all write to tunze to get this fixed. We are not the only ones either...

They said on one thread you can adjust the newer pumps to pump out less. Other then that all i can think of doing is putting a valve on the hose to limit how much is pumped in at start up time but then that worries me because you are creating unneeded pressure at the pump. Something i think would eventually kill the pump

I was thinking of trying to figure out a round about evaporation and setting up a defer back on time of like ? Two hours ?

That was my thread. Yes you can adjust it. It fills for and additional 10 seconds(right about two cups worth) everytime it tops off or is powered up to cut down on the number of cycles per day.
