Ok so my ?? is does the Salt that you use have anything to do with the color of the corals. I use cheap instant ocean salt i have never used anything else. My color in my corals are ok they aren't what i would like to see. So does the salt have anything to do with the colors???

The Trace Elements, minerals, and components that are in the salt make all the difference. Regular instant ocean is good for Fish only systems. Instant Ocean Reef Crystals are Instant Ocean's version of reef salt. Many use it, and so did I. My reef looked great, but I wanted better. Upgraded to H2Ocean salt, and my SPS reef looks better than ever. Wouldn't use anything else. Worth the price.

While I agree with Randy (prattreef), i do think that esv and other multi part salts are better. The reason I say that is bc with all in one salt mixes, it is possible for them to "settle" and the proper balance of the salt mix to be off. With esv, i manually measure each part and thus I know my salt will be at proper levels.

In this regard I agree. Just not with the coral coloration part :)
