i'm starting an upgrade and my current tank has about 60 lbs of live rock w/ no livestock (sold all of it due to sandy). i just picked up about 70lbs of rock from another reefer who lost power for 2 weeks so the rock had a lot of die off. i put the rock in my current tank with existing live rock, ammonia is up to 1, no nitrites didn't even test nitrate,not concerned about that yet. should i wait for this tank to finish cycling before moving rock to new tank? will this new rock recover? i think it will but just want to be sure. i was going to use some of existing salt water in new tank but now im thinking i should just go with all new water. any advice appreciated, thanks.
