I just bought a foscam. They have new 720p HD on their website. Free shipping and no tax for $159. It's arriving wed. I'll let you know how I like it. I got it to check on my wife and newborn during the day.

I don't have one..but can offer some help..
Did you allow access to the camera from your router? If you haven't you will need to log into your router and add the IP address and port (usually port 80) of your camera to allow port forwarding.
From your computer at work, you should be able to access the camera by entering your modem IP and the port you set up port forwarding with
into your browser.. for example
http://67.100.100.90:80
Not sure how familiar you are with networking but you can also configure it for https traffic if your camera supports it as well you can also create a DNS name for your modem so you don't have to remember your modem IP. There are free websites that can do this for you..like freedns.com..not 100% sure that's the name but something like that ..

Look in my signature and I have a link to my WebCam. It is just a basic webcam. But I could have used a higher end camera, but this works perfectly for my use.
i have setup my foscam fi8920. I don't recommend it, I use it to interact with my wife and newborn but the speaker on the camera makes a buzzing noise from the wifi antenna. I have to angle the antenna a certain way to minimize the buzzing to actually be able to hear them from work.
My opinion
CON
1. It isn't compatible with many apps on my iphone. It works well off my pc.
2. Its very dark and i have the brightness on the highest setting and the IR doesnt kick on soon enough. I turn it on manually.
3. The wifi int he camera causes a buzzing on the speaker which i hear is a common problem with this model.
4. It is a little tricky to set up. I had my friend come over and open the port on router etc.
PRO
1. the picture quality is 720P and pretty clear.
2. When IR mode the picture is also very clear.
3. Pans and tilts very well with a wide range.
4. two way audio (when it isnt buzzing).
I've read on forums that most people prefer the earlier models better such as the fi8918 or the fi8910. Many apps work with those models and are free. Im contemplating on returning it.
