Out of nowhere I look today and a quarter of my monti is bleached. This was one of my fast growers too. What happened. Didnt move it and at one point it did get sand on it because of my dotty back but I shook it off

Maybe your lights aren't strong enough? Where do you have it placed in your tank?

+1 on the stinging. They are pretty damn hardy IME, but bleach really quick when touched by other corals.
