Hey I was thinking of drilling a tank I have for plumbing to a sump so I don't need an overflow box and all that ugly stuff on the back..I am jut not sure how big to drill and or how many I have a 90 gallon tank and the return pump I was planning on getting is a mag 9 if this sounds right let me know and if you can help with the size to drill I would greatly appreciate it thanks

I have a mag9.5 with a 1 inch drain on my current tank. I have to scale back the pump with a ball valve about 30-40%. You need a 1 1/2 inch drain for a mag9

I actually drilled my old tank for the first time about 2 weeks ago with a 1 1/2 inch diamond drill bit. It literally took about 30 seconds to drill the back on the tank. Its abit nervous @ the start, but once you move past it Its real easy
