Can't believe it! I have in AIO tank with filtration built in the back. Due to the storm I lost all my fish and a bunch of my coral.
This weekend I restocked with fish (pair of Clarkii clowns, mystery wrasse and a pair of firefish).
When my electricity went back on after almost a week my tank was at about 50 degrees. Post-storm when cleaning my tank I found all my dead fish except 1 but figured it had decomposed (it was a flame angel).
Tonight I was cleaning the back of my tank and saw some movement in the return pump chamber of my tank. I got a flash light to see what it was and its my flame angel!! I can't believe it!!!

Ok, done ranting.

You better believe it. I was running generator for 8 days 24/7 for my DT. However, I forgot that I had a algae blenny and a green chromis in my QT. There was no light , heat, flow for 8 days in my QT.

2 days after power came back I started the QT cleanup process and wiola!

Both the fish were alive and well.

Some fish just surprise me.

Glad to hear of both successes and glad that your fish made it. While also curiously concerned at the fact that I have been online for so long that I know what QT and DT are without even giving it any thought. ;)

I have 13 gallon frag tank. I keep a small yashia shrimp goby. Power with out for 66 hours. Had only one battery air pump so used that on main tank 90 gal. All SpS tank. I was so happy no lost to main tank. I didn't care about small tank after 48 hours. Figure it was gone getting to cold and no oxygen. Power came on I check to see and yashia was still alive and all the frag SpS were good.

It is amazing where our fish end up. How did your flame angel make it over?

Yesterday I discovered where my missing bangai cardinal was, alas, not a happy ending... He found his way into my overflow, down the tubing and in my filter sock. I have NO IDEA how he "squeezed" his way into the bulkhead screen.

Not a saltwater fish, but back when I was keeping freshwater, I removed a large piece of driftwood from a 110 gallon planted tank.. 2 days later I noticed a yoyo loach missing, checked the entire tank plus filters, nothing..checked the wood and there he was in a crevice that was still wet.
