Try out FathomLed.com. There is a YouTube video as well. RKaragozler uses them on his 450G tank, his 120G tank and on his 65G tank. I am using them on my tank as well and so far in the month I have added them, some of my corals have displayed almost double growth. Very affordable! Contact FathomLed, he will gladly demonstrate the units for you with no pressure of buying and he won't leave you hanging in the event something goes wrong. Trust me on that one.

Tell your buddy that if he wants to go inexpensive, I can set him up with a pair of 120w chinese branded units that have about 4~5 months use for $300.
