If ever there was a vendor to make me want to take a mortgage out to buy corals, this is the guy!! I just found him online. Is his stuff real or are these photos edited? Is there anyone on the east coast that has stuff like this? Can these corals be found for less?

Where does he get this stuff??!!??!!

Mike is a good guy. His stuff is really nice but pricey. Sometimes his frags are on the small side but healthy. He is doing a live sale on the week before Christmas so you can get some stuff cheaper then. Pm me for details. On the East Coast Jason Fox and Dr Mac's stuff is great. Cherry Corals also. Those are all vendors here so check them out first. You may also want to look at Joe Knows Reefs and World Wide Corals

At those prices, nothing in particular quite yet. My tank is not ready for corals that expensive. His stuff is insane though! Where does it come from?

I believe Reef Raft is his distributor. He just opened a store in California. His live sale prices aren't bad but you can get his stuff for a lot cheaper from fellow reefers or vendors like Joe Knows Reefs. Start talking with him on his threads and such. He hooks up people he likes. His stuff is usually too pricey for me but I will follow his sales. Nice guy when Sandy hit he randomly chose 3 people that lost a bunch and sent them a box of corals.

Here is a few pictures of the SC Flashbomb I have in growout right now. We did not get this directly from Mike.

When we first got the frag

What it looks like about a month ago. We have already cut this in 3rds and sold the other two. Growout has been going since April

This gives you an idea about colors.

Wow, I didn't know about this site, but I just found new level of ridiculousness when it comes to coral frag prices. Do people really shell out $1500 for a 1/4 piece of coral tissue? Their website design is interesting though- looks like those 24hr video places under BQE:)

In case anyone has not been through the experience. A picture of a brightly colored or multi colored coral can be maniputated in many ways then the seller adds a disclaimer that light and this and that can make the colors seem different in your particular tank.

Not to mention that they usually take many shots of each piece until finding the right one.

if you are going to buy any super expensive coral buy it from a store that provides a 14 day live arrival guarantee.

Corals that are not healed and adjusted can easily die in your tank a week after you put them in so a simple "live arrival guarantee" simply does not suffice.

There are several stores locally that if you establish a relationship/reputation with them at times they work with you if an expensive coral simply dies days after you buy it.

the saying pictures don't lie or pictures speak a thousand words was only applicable in the Polaroid days. Now you need walk around with the saying "if it seems to good to be true then it usually is".

You want a rainbow chalice frag for $100 go look at it in person prior to buying.
