Coraline Algae?

In my tank there are spots on the glass that look like coraline algae but they are green... will the turn purple?

probably green coraline, so no it won't turn purple, but you could get purple to grow on the glass in time. i have purple all over my rocks, but green on my glass. i hate it, and scrape it off.
