Hey all, just got my nano12g deluxe started.. was thrilled to find this forum (considering I live in queens) .. thought I'd stop by, say hi.. and ask you all to be extremely patient with the barrage of questions that I'm sure will start flying in soon.

Only have some live sand, liverock and ofcourse the water.. been about a week cycling..

anyway.. eventually will post pics.. wanted to say hi and introduce myself and looking foward to getting to know you all!

MEANIE! (JK)

Yeah looking forward to it.. the just sitting and staring at the rock is slowly driving me insane :bigeyes2: .. least I have hermie to look at when he decides he's tired of hiding and making me think he's become a victim of the tank's cycle..

thing is.. don't have much algae yet (I know patience).. should i throw in a flake of fish food in there for him.. I don't want the little bugger to starve

And thank you all for the warm welcome!

nice welcome chief

Rori, putting a little food in the tank might help the cycle a bit.
what the hermit does not eat will have to get broken down by bacteria.
and what the hermit does eat will add to the cycle as well.

take the Zen approach to reefing and appreciate a tank full of just rocks :D
