what salt yoou using?

got about 5 gallons left of my oceanic sea salt. should i keep useing it or do u guys recommend another brand. i have 34 solana with 2 clowns, cleaner shrimp, yellow watchmen, helfrichie, 2 anemomes, and a few zoas. thanks in advanced also have hair algea problem if that helps.

If the salt your using is giving you good results in your reef tank then stay with that salt if not then change it. At the moment I'm currently using red sea pro. The result on the salt are good.

At the moment Microbe-Lift Reef Sand (not evaporated, 100% artificial, mixes very nicely just as H2O)

Yep but they don't have H2O at the moment. Pretty happy with Microbe-Lift though. The only thing I really dislike about it is that some of the components are aggregated in tiny rocks, and when those go through the mixing pump I use... it makes a nasty grinding sound.

Reason you have hair algae is you have high phosphate. So check that out. To fix it don't over feed your fish and run reactor with GFO and carbon. As for salt. Their are lots of good brands out there.I use Salinity by sea chem because of price and the amount you get in bucket.

I just switched over to red sea pro afte using tropic marine for a yr. Only grip i had with tropic marine is that my ph and alk was low. Read some good reviews of red sea pro and decided to give it a try.

however i recently picked up frags from a reefer that was using natures ocean reef crystals in his 92g SPS tank. He was the second reefer i met with using reef crystals with amazing tanks
