does anyone know how to set up individual switches for equipment?

Alright i was thinking of building 2 sets of switch boxes, one for my stand and another for in my fish room. I wanted to set up a line of switchboxes that could be plugged straight into a surge protector or something along those lines which in return would have an outlet on the bottom of it to plug single pieces of equipment where all i would need to do is flip a switch and my equipment turns off. It could make it a hell of a lot easier for feeding time, maintenance on individual pieces of equipment etc without fumbling through a bunch of wires. Has anyone done this or know how to do this or get parts for this?

It makes controlling pumps for feeding a breeze.
I'm surprised we don't have more options catering to fish tanks.

Even with a controller you have to flip through menu screens etc.....i just wanted a couple switches for closed loop, lights, and powerheads to flip off for feeding time, acclimation etc

My controller will be with the rest of my gear in my filtration room

I also run a DJ power strip to turn stuff on and off. Guitar center. $30.

I'll stick with the DJ equipment, any aquarium related manufacturer that releases anything like this will easily charge twice as much

I just got mine 2 days ago and im wondering why the hell i waited so long to get this. Makes everyday feeding and turning on/off equipment such a breeeeeeeeez. not to mention not touching wires with wet hands is always a plus

i use a regular power strip, the one with switch on the side but it shuts the strip off. i plugged my 2 return pumps and skimmer in it, works fine for about 10 bucks

Edd hes looking for a multiple switch to turn off different things at once or different times without having to kill power to a whole bunch of stuff
