and
settling = ability to siphon out with WC + less 'stuff' floating around.

Uhm, to ressurect this thread somewhat, I dunno you guys have heard of these, but tunze has a recirc pump coming out:

Not quite the electrical effeciency of the RDs, but quite reasonable, half the price, and while currently there is not controller, I was talking to rvitko and he thinks that a controller IS a possiblity, not necessarily for this generation of the pump, but down the road. No THAT would be sweet. 4000gph pulsing through your closed loop????
