im doing an upgrade myself when I move in a month. my new bedroom has a perfect storage room for equipment. I think im going to use one of those 100-150 gallon rubber maid stock tanks as a frag tank/fuge and have a 30-40 gallon above it overflowing into it for my skimmer and equipment.

tidal gardens does it this way but on a way larger scale, check there youtube video

Charlie all I can add, just from my own experience, is try to keep it simple as possible....the more piping, valves, equipment, tubes etc.. is just increasing the possiblity of something going wrong ...you've seen my fishroom..overflow down into the fuge and into the sump then right back up...only one 90* elbow on the feed to the return pump everything else is free flowing with no other turns or valves...

Im looking for a few ideas on a new sump/sump room design for my 300 gallon upgrade anyone have any pics of there sump /sump room
Heres a nice size sump at a great price. I used it for a 340ga; tank and had a 90gal 30gal and 2x 36 gal cubes. Are you looking to put the sump under the tank or in a remote area.Lots of baffles i think 8 in total. Your display will never see a micro bubble. and if you buy it i'll give you the stand for free. Built like a truck by me.

48x18 x21.

I only used it like 3 months. I bought it new. Looks great. Check my for sale thread. Large skimmer area. I had 2 filter sock holders in the intake area.
