Nikon Macro lens

Hello I wanted to see if anyone knew of a nice but not crazy expensive Lens to take some real nice pics of my tank with. I have a D3100. TYVM in advance. I am very new to the camera thing and have been taking pics of the kids and would like to take some of my corals any help or tips and even lens info would be great.

Get yourself a 40mm nikon macro lens. this has a 1:1 ratio.. should be around $230.
otherwise... you can get one that has a 1:2 ratio.. in the forms of Tamron or Sigma... those are telescopic lens, with macro functions built in, however they will need a bit of distance to take pictures.
