Cleaning acrylic ?

I have a ocianic BC 29 and the splash guard is yellowed. They no longer make replacement splash guards so I am kinda stuck. Is it safe to use auto head light cleaning kits on aquarium equipment? I will probably only do the inside of the lens it will never touch the tank water. But just in case I do the outside I would like to know if it is safe. Anyone ever had a bad reaction or am I good to go?

Novus polish... but then again I'm sure you can find any plastic polish that will yield the same results.

Have you tried a vinegar soak??

Yes tried vinegar. I have a auto lens cleaning kit. Don't want to go buy something if it will work but I will keep novus as an option

I wouldn't try feeding it as liquid to a fish. Clean plastic normally after a polish.

Lol. So if I get a spotted mandarin it won't feed on novaus? Have to re think this. Thanks.
