I have 30# of rock curing right now. I'm just not sure when I should put it in the tank. I'm waiting for some LC so I can work on the phosphates but i'm getting really anxious. Any suggestions guys?
If setting up a new tank you can put it in now and cycle the tank. It will become cured as the cycle progresses. If adding to an established system do your water tests and add it once there are only traces of nitrates.
I'm more concerned about phosphates yiurr be honest. I tested today and I was 0 for Nitrates, 0 for Ammonia, 0 for Nitrites and .50 for Phosphates. that rock has been in a Rubbermaid tote since Sunday (12/16). I do have a CPR Nano Reactor on the way with Phosban
If you are adding the rock to an existing tank, I would wait until you knock down the phosphates..you know that is he right thing to do Much better than having to battle any algae that they may bring
