nice! so you are the culprit that delayed my sump! haha jk. for the filter pad, microbubbles and preventing debris going into your pump.

hope you all like. it was pretty simple just a few cuts here & there.some wood glue and a few screws later and wala. all i have to do is fill in with some filler & paint. but that will have to wait.

Yogi, doesn't look like OP answered you or anyone else.

To help, it looks like it is best used to reduce microbubbles as the bubble trap if not close to the waterline between the two will cause microbubbles into the return section.

This will add to routine maintenance but small price to pay as microbubbles are quite annoying. This also reduces the chances of pods getting into the DT [a negative obviously]. Depends on his needs. He has no dragonets so he might even use the center section as a fuge in that manner.

i thought someone answered to yogi's question. i guess i was wrong. i do though had alot of pods. but lost alot due to the upgrade. i dont think i'll have problem with pods reaching the td. i never noticed but also didn't have a problem getting pods on my hands when servicing the pump. so i'm assuming thier getting in. i do ploan on getting a dragonet. but later on after the sump has been broken in after a couple of month. also still waiting on the mud to arrive.

I was thinking of swapping out the pad and using bio balls instead. To cut back on bubbles & to allow pods easier access to the dt. so any suggestions and advice on this part would be helpful.
