Help with fish...

Hey guys thought I might ask people from here about a pygmy angel (cherub) one of my friend is breaking his tank and he wants to give me that fish and I know that is not reef safe or maybe reef but with CAUTIOUS.. I like that fish and wanted to know if anyone in here have success in their mixed tank...thanks for your help...

In my experience, they are reef-safe with caution. I've seen the fish nip at coral polyps, but never enough to cause the coral damage.

The thing that mess my head up is because its FREE .. but if I were to buy this then no questions ask NO.....Thanks guys I have 2 days to think about it....

Beautiful fish and less likely too nip at coral than most centropyge angels, but still a possibility. I had one for two years that was a model citizen but of course each particular fish is different. If you decide you don't want it have your friend give me a holler! :wink1:

if u have a sump, put in there with some samples of ur corals and monitor for a few days.

FREE is the key. I have the same mind war to fight.

Mine is free from Jabol :grouphug: and is very aggressive towards fish not corals. He would not brother anemone either but would confront a foxface 4 times his size, a maroon double his size and a powder blue 5 times his size. Only skimishes never any real damage. That's why I never put it in my tank with the golden angel, I worry it will be more aggressive towards similar looking fish.
