12 years Running. Marine tank to reef tank back to Marine now doing reef again one year now. 72 bowfront with Refug over 65 pieces of corals Mostly LPS for a few SPS, 2 tangs & cleaner crew.

I think if you talked to 10 different people you might get 10 different answers. Everyones tank is different. I've read a lot of threads on dosing vodka and have talked to a few reefers on the subject and have heard varying outcomes. If you follow the directions in the link and take it slow you should be alright. If you run into problems cut the dose in half or stop dosing all together. One thing I would watch out for is your nutrient level getting too low. You might have to feed more.

1ml of vodka
You would dose 8ml of vinegar

First, i think you have to make more circulation in your tank ,you got only one pump ?! i got 150 Gal. and i run 8-9 pumps + return (1100 gal.) i got around 15.000 Gph total and i dose 6 mil. a day so far, i got Vortex Libra doser and have 0.5 ml option, Vodka ( 40 %) is 8 X stronger than Vinegar (5 %) .Pour circulation , then you will got Red Slime in one week . Try Vinegar first. Wow now i see how slow i move.

I have 2 1300gph power heads plus return pump from 20gal sump full time in my 72 gal tank.
This is my first time hearing about vinegar other then to use with kalk
