Little star fish

I have a bunch of tiny little starfish are they ok in my reef tank I got them from a guy with one of the nicest tanks I have ever seen and he had tons in his tank said they r harmless

Thats not entirely true. There r a couple of types that r bad but several species r actually great cleaners

I believe he may speaking about the tiny brittle stars. I don't think anyone gives away asterinas knowingly, unless its to feed a harlequin shrimp.
