which fish should i add?

Cardinals and Firefish aren't big on swimming around, though. They just kinda stay in one place.

I recently got a Valentini Puffer (attacks snails and nips at a couple of LPSs, which I hope stops soon!) and he's just the cutest thing ever. And whenever I put my face to the glass to look at something he swims right up and stares at me. :flirt: So, you might try your luck with one of them and hope yours doesn't nip at corals.

i'm sorry to ask so many questions but i would really like to know why tangs didn't survive for you. did you buy all of them from the same place? where they all in the tank @ once? or could it simply be the size of the tank.

i believe it was cuz the tank was too small, heres how all died:

purple = ich from hippo
hippo = ich
yellow = nitrate spike
powder blue = stressed out when i added a sailfin
naso = he was 8'' in a 45... enough said
scopas = he fell in the hands of my powerhead
orange shoulder = stress

yea, i hate tangs.....

No offense but I dont think the tangs like you too much either. Youre tank is way too small for all of those fish, even if you only had one tang in the tank - along with all of your other fish it would be only a matter of time before they died.:sigh:

1. what kind of tangs have you tried before?

2. in a 45g a smaller anthias or wrasse should be ok.

1. hes not me ... no more tangs for u... especially in a 45 gallon.. ya killed enough of em....
