Help: grean algae takeover in 12g nano

My 12 gallon nano frag tank has been growing a large amount of this stringy green algae. I obvously cant put a tang in. So whats ur recommendations. Not, sure whats snails crabs etc. To use

Turbo snails. Have u checked ur phosphates and are you using rodi water

I have Fresh filters in my ro. And I test phosphates weekly. Not a trace. It apears I have a hermit thats getting to the algae on the bottom shelf. But he can get to the higher shelves

Try some turbo snails. Are you dosing n e thing like vinegar or trace elements.

The tank had was running for over a year. But i removed all the live stock and just ran pumps, no lights for 3 months before setting up again.

I just picked up 1 turbo snail and 3 astrea snails. So hopefully it will do better

If you aren't yet I'd run gfo. The test kits we use are useless for phosphates unless you have large amounts. They won't detect trace amounts. If you dont want to run a reactor you can use some chemi-pure elite.

Chemi-pure elite is shipped and the turbo snail has just about made the tank spotless

The tank is officially spotless.
