I got this set-up with a new tank I got.
It includes:
Rio 2100
float
valve

Is this a unit that can be useful to me or should I sell it & get something else?
It will be used on a 46 gal bow front with corals & some fish.

Thanks for any advice.

I have about 75 pounds of LR that will be in this tank (taken out of my 55 gal, water & all).
Not sure how much sand I should be putting in.
I kinda wanted a thin sand bed.
With the help of House, I will be getting it from him.

Yeah, DR, I have extra SLOWN-D Amiracle drip filter plate pads cut to fit my 30g sump - so, you can have those for a like $10 if you like.

I would do what Dean said, use rubble - I'll have about 25lbs after I break down the old tank since that is in my sump as well.

The rest will happen on it's own with your rock and sandbed if you choose to keep one

Let me know - next time you are over, you should take a look see

Sounds good House..
I'm ready. Give me a call when you are.
Light, sand & I will take the rubble & pads.
Maybe you can show me in person on what I should do with this filter.

Thanks for the advice fellas. It helped.

Here's a quote from Aqua-C's website FAQ:

"How much of a performance difference is there between the standard Remora and Pro model?

The Remora Pro boasts at least a threefold increase in performance over the standard Remora. This is primarily due to the larger water pump (Rio 1400) that drives the Pro. More than twice the air is processed and greater contact time is assured due to the Pro's larger internal chambers."
