Well, I got a pretty RBTA from someone on this board. The anemone was fragged :)eek: and is on the small side. Today I got me a gold stripe maroon clown...and he moved in on the anemone minutes after being put into the tank. And I'm afraid he's going to host the anemone to death! It's smaller than the clown...and is probably not in the strongest of health having only been fragged a little over 2 months ago. What do you guys/gals think? I'd love to keep both, but fear the anemone will have to go as I don't think it'll survive the clown. Anybody got a large RBTA??? :headache:

I tried giving it a piece of silverside a couple of days ago and it didn't grab it. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm concerned it's not big/strong enough to withstand that kinda love! It feels like one of the sins in "Seven." :headache: I guess I'll keep an eye on it for a day or two. And then the RBTA might be up for sale!

BTW, here's a pic of the anemone earlier today, before the Clown. I put her at the top of my tank (T5s), but she crawled to the very bottom and stretches its foot during daytime hours to get more light. Not sure why she just won't climb up higher, but then I don't think like an anemone...

See that little white spot at the side of its "crown?" That's the mouth, though it's not at the center. I think it's building new tentacles around the mouth part so eventually it will be. You get dibs. It's kinda wedged between large rocks at the bottom of the tank; getting it out if I have to would be a project.

I don't know what kind of light it's been under until now... Honestly, the mouth looked ok to me based on a GBTA I used to have. It wasn't particularly large on that one either.

Here's a really crappy picture (my camera sucks) of the pair today. The anemone just kind of lies there... And he keeps it up. He did take a piece of VHP Formula I was feeding to the anemone; not sure if she appreciated the gesture, though.

So here's a pic of the anemone today. It's head is just kind of lying limp on a rock, it's foot kinda twisted. It looks weird; those look almost like postules or something! Are those new tentacles ready to grow or something else??

It has eaten a little bit; I fed it some mysis and today the clown fed it some brine shrimp.

Here's a pic of the pair from today. The anemone has grown significantly in these couple of weeks. Perhaps just out of necessity...or what, who knows. It still stretches its foot big time to get more light during day hours, but won't climb higher in the tank - it's almost on the bottom. Its tips are quite pink, but the rest of the body is mostly white. I thought they were supposed to be all pink? Perhaps not... The Clown feeds it all the time, though I suspect Formula One is not on its list of delicacies!:eat:
