Salt question...Oceanic?

Okay guys, here is the question. It must have been asked a 10000000 times. Anyway, i am using oceanic right now, but i am dosing. What salt would require no dosing. I have used Tropic, but it ended up clouding my water. Anybody else have this experience. I am just trying to save money on buying chemicals. PS i do weekly water changes..

Only way to kno what you have to add to your water is to test your water. No one else can really help you out here.

Testing his water equates to a water change...it's a 2 gallon tank. How much, exactly, are you spending on additives for a tank that small?

i am not spending that much, just liquid calcium and cora-vite, i am running out, i just don't want to spend another 25$ for new bottles...i rather have salt and not worry about dosing..ROFL Dean, yea testing my tank will be a water change

if u dont want to add calcium u can go with oceanic. but dude i just dont see how it cost u a fortune for a 2 gallon tank.... even the 25.00 u spend that should last u a year.... on a tank that small...

You shouldn't have to dose calcium if you are currently using Oceanic salt and do weekly water changes.

yea, you don't have to dose calcium, and to get alk up dose baking soda...all but $.65 a box. not to bad.
