Skimmer foam

Just got first skimmer but not sure how high foam should rise in the neck

Until its broken in set it low. Of course each skimmer calls for different heights per the instructions but I'd say keep it where the very top of the bubbles are just below the bottom of the neck where it attaches to the skimmer body. The. As it breaks in you can do the final tweaking. This way you won't wind up wih yellow water overflowing back into your sump.
