should my rowaphos be brown in the container

When you first place rowaphos in tHe reactor you have to let it run with small pump for few minutes before placing it in sump , it gets all of that brown staff out .
I've been using rowaphos for years thats what I do when time to change it .

Yes. The ROWAphos container will have brown/rust colored staining.
