I have a 65 gallon tank I'm looking so make a reef in. I built a 20 gallon sump. I got a pf-1200 overflow box it's oversized I was assuming I could use a larger pump on it anyone have any ideas on how that would work and what size pump to use on it. Thanks in advance.

I have a 65 gallon tank also. I have a reef ready tank which has 1 inch drain and 3/4inch return. I run a 900 gph pump dialed back with a ball valve and a manifold used to feed reactors and chiller. I think any thing over 900 gallons in that display and 20 gallon sump would be pushing it. I would not want the flow to be that fast through the sump. I did something similar in the past with a 90 gallon and it was pretty noisy. Is your over flow a hang on back type?
