Kalk won't dissolve

Opened a new package of esv kalkwasser powder. Each time I stir it in,I let it sit for a day. This powder does not clear up though, it stays cloudy, for days. Anyone know why? Does the ro water have to be a certain temp? Thanks guys.

Cloudy enough, and no residue settles on the bottom of bucket

i put a power head in and let it stir for a few hours, then let it set over night and you will always have some residew left in the bottom

Maybe you are using too much? Precipitation? I mix two tablespoons with 1/4 cup vinegar, then mix in a pitcher of RO water. I then slowly stir in the contents into a 5 gallon bucket. I leave the fines and milky residue behind. The final product is lightly cloudy with about an inch of thicker residue on the bottom of the bucket.

Sherm dosnt sound right I use same measurement and always have lots residue on bottom

I mixed up another bucket and put a power head in, we will see in the am

Power head in there all night, looks the same, film on top and all cloudy. Letting it settle now. Maybe it's this particular package of Kalk? What brand do you guys use?

I had the same thing with brs kalk
Got pickled lime from agway
Perfect now
