They usually split solo. I had two split simultaneously. I've always suspected that they have a 6th sense in relation to a clone. I have 5 RBTA and I sometimes see them all display stringy tentacles and other times bubble tips together. It could be environmental conditions that cause the group behavior or maybe there is some kind of "communication" going on among them?

The question is not clear. I don't think an anemone is referred to as a colony. Anyway each individual anemone split when it's ready. I don't know how many individual animals can be formed in one dividing session but usually one will split in two or a baby or babies can form on the side of the mother.

If an anemone splits into two, then the two anemones will (in theory) grow at same rate (based on same genetics and same environment). If they grow at same rate and have same genetics (ie tendency to split, and tolerance of water params) they should both then be ready to split again within a reasonable amount of time from each other.

i thought when they split is a good thing, y there should be something wrong in my tank

As previously mentioned above anemones will split for a couple of reasons..one is simply because it is reproducing but often they split due to an issue in the tank with water quality. They split to try and save themselves from the 'threat' they feel, and if theere are more of them, one stands a better chance to survive.

What are all of your parameters?
Do you feed your anemone? If so, what?

I think he means an anemone is in survival mode will split to unsure it's genes get passed on. The same is said with captive corals i personally don't know if this is true. That does't mean your tank is going to crash.
