Just bought this last night from another Mnhattan reefer. It was built by custom king not to long ago.

I got home and filled it with water to test it for leaks. This morning my wife accidentally bumps into it (so she says) and it broke and water went every where.

How can i fix this? Can anyone help? Does anyone do this kind of work?

Yes that is correct. Get yourself another acrylic sheet and cover the damaged area.
otherwise you can always try and remove the panel, purchase another one that same size and reinstall.

Try attaching the broken piece with weldon an attach a rectangular piece over the whole area to secure it also canal plastics will have everything you need

Weldon16 will glue the broken piece back together. To make it waterproof it will look like crap. But it will work. HD/Lowes do not carry any of the Weldon products. If you are on the island there is a place of Route 109 that carries the whole product line. Also note that the acrylic you get at Lowes/HD is not the same that Jeff uses to build his sumps. It will work as a patch just a heads up.

I'm just curious, is the sheet you purchased from HD or Lowes same thickness? The ones around here sells them but are too thin for sump build use. Maybe for baffles but I wouldn't consider using it.

If you're going to a plastic shop, you should get the same plastic and same thickness if it isn't already. If you don't have it now, make sure you get the applicator (syringes) for applying it at the acrylic/plastic stores where you ge tthe Weld-on.

Im going to weld on the same piece that broke off. And then apply the piece of acrylic i got from lowes over it with weld on as well for extra support.

The piece i bought is same thickness. But will not replace a wall. Only support a wall. The sumo is real nice and i know custom king does a great job and use better material.

Im sure my wife's "bump" was more than just a bump. No way u tap this thing and it breaks like that. Dont worry revenge is a biatch! NEW REEF IN THE LIVING ROOM....

No wait wait..... A nano in her closet!!!
