Has anybody had this problem with jbj ato?

It seems to stop working on its own. I understand it has an emergency feauture that shuts off after three minutes. I reset one if the float switches manually and it begins to start working again. If i come back two days later i notice its not maintaining the level. I have it with an aqualifter pump. Im wondering is there a way to extend the safety time or should i just switch pumps? My top off is a 20 gal brute can. Thanks

Try cleaning with vinegar or if the units not too old contact the manufacturer & see if they will exchange for a working one. Ive had mine over a year now with no problem. Good luck.

Its like a week old. Im thinking maybe pumps not strong enough.

That's normal for the JBJ. The aqualifter is only rated to lift 30" max. Either your aqualifter is too high or its getting worn.

My aqualifter lasted a year and a half. Then it wouldn't fill in time anymore.

Had same issue. Aqua lifter pump didn't lift water so it took too long and would cause safety to kick on. Need need pump

Thanks for the advice but i just realized that the safety time was set to 3min45sec default. By opening the jbj i was able to increase the max time to 14 min. I have 130 twv seems like 3min isnt suffice to top off.

Yea if 14min isnt enough ill lower the safety and get a maxijet600 or 900

I use a mj 1200 and have never had a problem. It takes only seconds to top off.
