I'm going to try and hang my Radion from the ceiling.

Any tips for me here? The Radion is pretty light, and I'm not too worried about using a toggle bolt. Trouble is.. The ceilings are plaster (not drywall) and I have almost no idea what to expect.

Thanks for the help.

hey eric, if its plaster, their should be wood lath also which is spaced close together. if their lite, you can screw an eye bolt or wood screw into the lath their about 1/4x2 strips. i had an atick over mine drilled a tiny hole ran cable thru and secured in atick

yeah if its plaster just be careful when drilling and tightening the screw you don't want to start a hairline crack. Plaster will crack very easily.

This is one thing I'm worried about.

Are cracks and holes relatively easy to fix? I am used to working with drywall.

I can't seem to find the exact weight of the Radion, but it can't be more than a pound or two. Very light-weight fixture.

Thanks for the help so far.

What I would do is go to hardware store and buy 2 - 1/4 -20 toggle bolts with eye loops by 4 " long with a 1/4 -20 fender washers, drill a small hole , just large enough to pass the toggle bolt through while closed, and use the fender washer so the bolt dosent push through the plaster , when u leave just use some tape compound to fill the hole. Note drill through the plaster ,wire mesh and wood lath , so the bolt can freely open up..
A 7/8ths or 1/2 hole saw bit will work fine or a speed bit .
