Turn the intake down. Or adjust skimmer level in your sump.

Like Matthew said adjust the intake. I always tell people to keep them set pretty low until a skimmer is broken in. Set the water depth that its in to the level stated in the directions and just set the intake lower than they say. Adjust it from there as each day passes.

Once it's broken in set to to where the skimmate will make it into the collection cup to your liking (dry/wet)
