Denitrators? Use/worth/stench?

Is it true that this egg(sulfur) odor is unavoidable? I was looking to use one of these on my 120 gal. Any thought r appreciated before I drop 400 bucks!

Just do water changes, its so much cheaper lol. I never used a denitrator, so I really can't comment

What are your readings? I added one to my 600g system a few months ago. No matter how much water I changed, the NO3 would not go down after the Sandy die-off. If you keep it dialed in correctly, there will be no smell. I strongly suggest you use the Geo dentrator, it is awesome.

I use the aqua puri denitrator which is kindda like a cryptic chamber that u dose vodka to .I have a ton of fish in my 120 and my nitrates stay at 10 ppm which isn't super low but low enough for mu system .
